Yes, I actually meant "SysV init scripts", not necessarily the SysV
init package itself; OpenRC still works with SysV init scripts AFAIUI,
so from the point of view of package maintainers it doesn't lead to
duplication in the same way as "provide an upstart script AND a
systemd unit AND a SysV init script does".

Right, and I don't want to quibble over that. In that sense we already
support classic sysvinit and startpar, but they don't use different
startup scripts in packages.
