It would be nice to do eventually; i.e. renaming celt-0.7.0 to celt-0.7.1 to 
make it clear what version Mumble actually had in it.  There are several of 
these little things I'd like to send upstream patches or Git pull requests 
for, but I don't think it's necessary to deal with it now.

Likewise I found that the mumble upstream source currently builds in Opus 
version 0.9.8, but the library comes out named as "libopus.so.0.0.0" which 
again is non-intuitive as to what version it actually is.  This doesn't really 
matter for the version in Debian because it will use Debian's libopus0 library 
instead (which contains Opus version 0.9.14, which I found to be compatible).
