I didn't request that, I suggested it.

I explained my position, and happen to disagree with the submitter.

We are currently planning to split off the web interface off the main
nagios2 package from the web interface post-etch, as a nagios daemon
might be useful as scheduler for a host that delivers passive service
checks.

The web interface package will have a stronger dependency to
nagios-images. Currently, the intention is to keep the dependencies
small as nagios2 might be installed on hosts that do not need all
bells and whistles.

I therefore think that suggests is the appropriate degree of dependency.

The submitter is vastly exaggerating.

The application just runs fine without the images.

It is going to waste a lot of disk space on systems that do not use
the web interface.
