yes, this was a paste error:

macutils and maxima-sage both had RC bugs due to GCC 15,
and since I was working alphabetically through bugs they
were close to each other.

I pasted the wrong bug number in the changelog of the macutils NMU which 
should be #1097349, and then nmudiff also sent the email with the diff 
to the wrong bug.

maxima-sage builds with the fixed ecl.
