I think so, but it would probably be best to do it while also importing
the next upstream version, because then I would be sure it had worked.

So, please don't push to sbcl until after I've uploaded the next
upstream release; poke me if I forget about uploading it.

If you need to make changes in the meantime, could you use a salsa MR
and set me as the reviewer?

I think if you were regularly using dgit for your uploads (regardless of
git-debrebase) it may have spotted that something was wrong.

One idea might be a salsa CI job that checks and rejects your merge
request.  But that wouldn't work if, e.g., you made commits, uploaded to
the archive, and only then pushed to salsa.
