The original reporter stated that he can't reproduce the problem
with current (2010/03/11) packages from sid.
Looking at my own installation I can't find any byte C3 in the
referenced file, as the error message stated:
;; Loading file /usr/share/common-lisp/source/common-lisp-controller/common-lisp-controller.lisp ...
Error during loading of common-lisp-controller.lisp:
invalid byte #xC3 in CHARSET:ASCII conversion
It looks like the bug has either been fixed or is specific to
the version currently in testing (1:2.44.1-4.1)
I think this should be tagged as "unreproducible" and
"moreinfo".
