Re: Debian Cloud Sprint Seattle- 1 week away

Thanks Martin- that is actually very accurate!

One helpful note for those taking the light rail from the airport. There are signs that say Light Rail (or maybe Link Light Rail) but you can also just follow the signs for the parking garage and then keep walkin... left-ish (north) and you'll find the path to the light rail station through the 4th floor of the garage. The garage walkway is one level above the baggage claim level (and one level below the arrivals check-in level).

Hi,

[Disclaimer: I am not local resident of Seattle, explaining what i did
when i arrived here Saturday night.]

for those who (love to) travel with public transportation, here is what
I did:

Once you reached Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you can travel
to Seattle downtown using Link Light Rail. It goes up to University to
Washington Station (last station), which is about a USD 3.25 ride for a
single trip ticket, for a 45min ride. If you are in need of USD there
are ATMs in each terminal of the airport. Finding the way to the Link
Light Rail station was a bit confusing to me. You need to walk all way
through the 4th Floor of the parking garage and end up on a pedestrian
walkway to the rail station.

There might be a smarter way (locals might give you different adivse
here) but i found out that there is a bus station direct in front of
University of Washington Station, and buses number 75, 31 and 32 leave
from there heading Central Magnolia Fremont. The bus stop Fremont Ave N
& N 34th St seems to be (according to Google Maps) directly in front of
Google's office, which is an other 20min ride.

If you are more downtown Seattle, the other possibility seems to be to
take bus number 62 leaving from University Street Station heading to
Sand Point East Green Lake which also stops at Fremont Ave N & N 34th
St.

Hope that helps,
Martin
