Re: [Pkg-mono-devel] problem with mono 2.10 package

I am currently at mono 2.6.7-5. I am trying to load the experimental 2.10 package.

I ran the instructions on the Debian website

echo "deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian experimental main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list

apt-get update

apt-get install -t experimental mono-complete

apt-get install libmono-addins0.2-cil libmono-addins-gui0.2-cil

I am getting the errors below.

What am I doing wrong?

That's because packages in Debian/Experimental and for Debian/Unstable (sid), and not for Debian/Stable (squeeze). You will have to wait for squeeze-backports which I haven't decided yet if Mono 2.10 is feasible for a backport.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Joe
