Hm, could you give me some details about this?

The package manager should just upgrade if you hat the upgrade button
regardless of how less or how many it upgrades. apt-get dist-upgrade
just worked[tm] for me, no further interaction required.

Btw, if you want to have always everything of Mono installed, just
install the mono-complete package! That's for the hardcore Mono
hackers :-P well and ISVs...
