Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When an user attempts to add an online account that requires logging in through
a web component, such as, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and/or Foursquare,
cinnamon-control-center crashes and quits without any further prompt or
message. This behaviour is not present in accounts that do not need a web
login, such as Nextcloud or IMAP/SMTP, which log in correctly and sync with
other applications, such as being able to browse Nextcloud storage from Nemo or
receiving and sending emails from Evolution. Accounts such as Google, Facebook
and/or Microsoft should work in the same way.

This has been patched in upstream
(https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/commit/77ed66050f7df889fcb7a10b702c7b8bcdeaa130)
and included in release version 5.2.1 however since this affects stable in its
current iteration, please consider backporting the patch into stable to restore
functionality to a 100%

Let me know if I there is something I can do to help fixing this issue in
current stable without having to wait until 5.2.1

Thank you very much!
Cheers!

thanks for report it, I did a fast commits with the upstream patch but I not have time to test it today, if you want test it you can build from source:

https://salsa.debian.org/cinnamon-team/cinnamon/-/tree/bullseye

or manually install auto tests packages (I never used but should works FWIK):
