running tests that are in source tree

You figured it out already, but for the archives: This is supported
using --unbuilt-tree or just <dirname>/ as a shortcut. See
/usr/share/doc/autopkgtest/README.running-tests.{rst,html} for
details, or
https://people.debian.org/~mpitt/autopkgtest/README.running-tests.html
for the same thing online.
