The new xcin (2.5 and up) uses XIM and xcinrc files, etc., so the
information written in /usr/doc/xcin/README.Debian is really outdated.
Sorry!  I'll try to get that fixed soon.

Try the following.  I put the following script (~/bin/gb24) on my computer:

#!/bin/sh
export LANG=zh_CN.GB2312
/usr/bin/xcin &
/usr/bin/X11/crxvt -ls -fm hanzigb24st -fn 12x24 -im xcin-zh_CN.GB2312 -pt Root &
---------

Of course, it assumes that you installed xfonts-cjk, rxvt-ml, and xcin.
