Sarge installation problem

Hi there,

I got a problem when installing Sarge with Debian Installer RC3
netinst CD: GRUB failed to install, neither LILO, my disk partition is
as follows:
/dev/hda1 /boot 8MB
/dev/hda2 / 500MB
/dev/hda5 /home 27GB
/dev/hda6 /opt 10GB
/dev/hda7 /tmp 500MB
/dev/hda8 /usr 20GB
/dev/hda9 /usr/local 10GB
/dev/hda10 /var 10GB
/dev/hda4 swap

Do you think my small /boot partition can be the cause of the failure?
BTW, /srv is newly introduced in Sarge, what is it for? Is it
suggested to allocate separate partition for it?

Any help appreciated:)
