nvi 中文问题

Hi!
   我在 potato 中使用 nvi 时, 只要设定
   
   LANG=zh_TW.Big5
   LC_CTYPE=zh_TW.Big5
   LC_ALL=zh_TW.Big5
   
   就可以正常的在 nvi 中看到中文字.
   
   但是昨天将系统升级到 woody 之后, 发现相同的设定, 并没有办法可以
   看到中文... :-(
   
   我在 nvi 的网站的 faq 中有看到不同语系的说明, 也只有指出设定上述的
   变数就可以了...
   
   请问一下, 还有那边的设定须要做的 ?
