There is a gs-cjk patch for gs-aladdin. The gs-aladdin in debian
unstable is actualll patched with gs-cjk. With the patch, gs should
be able to print cjk text natively (load ttf as cid keyed font).
You might need defoma which is in unstable too.
Oh, by the way, there is an outline font edit under *nix now!!
Beta, BSD like license. called pfaedit.
