放在 / 下不是不可，就是不太合 File Hierarchy System 的規定。
的確，只要你懂得配置，你的 Perl CGI 放在哪個目錄也可以。
不過，我看你的對 Apache 的配置文件基本認識不夠，這樣去改 httpd.conf
實在危險。不要心急，要下苦功讀讀 Apache 的說明文檔：
apt-get install apache-doc
和 www.apache.org 等處的說明。我不知道你手上的 Red Hat + Apache 入門
是什麼書，但如果你那本書只教你些設定的捷徑，沒有詳細解釋所加項目的
原因，而你自己又不甚明白的話，你就更要找其他的文檔，先讀好一些「基本功」，
尤其是 CGI 這功能，稍一不慎，就可能為你的系統加了一個安全的大洞。
