S3 Savage 3D顯卡
我是一個linux新手。我剛剛安裝了debian 2.2R4. 現在遇到一個問題。
我的S3 Savage 3D顯卡在X windows下只能工作在256色模式下，不管我怎麼變換顯示模式。我去xfree86的網站查了一下，發現了這麼一段話：在3.3.6版本中， "Support (accelerated) for the Savage3D, Savage3D/MV, Savage4, and Savage2000, is provided by the XF86_SVGA server with the s3_savage driver on some OSes (Linux, *BSD)." 但是我在系統中卻沒有發現這個s3_savage驅動程序。
我想問一下，我是不是只有安裝了這個驅動才能工作在256色以上的模式中。如果是的話，我到哪裡去下載和如何安裝這個驅動。如果不是，那麼我又應當怎麼做？
