[FWD:] The locale name of Taiwan
Dear Developers,
Recently the "official" locale name of Taiwan in glibc-2.2 seems
to be a serious problem to us, and we are discussing it in the
<cle-devel@linux.org.tw> mailing list. No matter what, the name
"zh_TW" seems to be a unacceptable name, as described in the following
mail. If we really want to follow the standard of glibc, the name
"zh_TW.big5" seems more acceptable.
Please give us more comments about this issue. And very sorry that
I recall this problem in this mailing list once again.

剛剛查一下 X/Open 的規定 zh_TW 還是給 CNS 用
而且 CNS 的字集比 任何一個 Big5 都大, 你要用 Big5? 全面取代 CNS 怎說都說不過去
還是你希望 GNU 的系統, 從此進不了金融界跟政府機構的大門。
另外聽說 glibc 的 cmap 格式又改了，不知道是改成怎樣的標準。
還有不知道 glibc 這次大動作是要訂定以後glibc 的標準，還是屬於實驗性質。
因為有接觸過這一部份的人應該清楚，這幾年來 glibc 在這部份已經大幅修改了好幾次。
