    in various places.
  * Added information to README.debian warning users to make sure to
    let Elm create its .elm directory. Closes bug #13134. Note:
    Elm already warns you about not creating .elm; this is another
    warning.
  * Closing bug #13133 -- according to Policy 3.3.1, the current behavior
    is permissible (binaries are always installed stripped anyway;
    therefore, the -g is only for the maintainer's convenience.)
  * According to Policy section 4.5, mailboxes are 0660. Thus Elm's
    behavior is not incorrect and bug #13749 is closed. (Perhaps it should
    be refiled against Exim.)

  * Closed out dealt-with report: #14298
  * Closing bug #15137 (newmail can be required for proper operation of Elm

    without the whole Elm package.
  * Developer no longer has to press Enter in Configuration stage. Fixes
    bug #14764. (Used patch different than was suggested.)
  * Closing bug #11485 (already fixed upstream)
  * Closing bug #11280 -- upstream author decided against the
    reccommendation for a change. I will honor that decision.

slice - Extract out pre-defined slices of an ASCII file
slice 1.2.8-1 -> 1.2.8-2 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/text
slice (1.2.8-2) unstable; urgency=low
  * Patched ./aclocal.m4 (hence ./configure.in and ./configure) so
    that Perl module versions are correctly compared. (The idea
    was adopted from wml's ./config/aclocal.m4.) <grin> The result
    is to get a private version of IO::File 1.07 installed. The
    IO::File 1.06021 from perl 5.004.04-3 is slightly outdated
    and /usr/bin/slice refused to run.

slice - Extract out pre-defined slices of an ASCII file
slice 1.2.8-2 -> 1.2.8-3 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/text
slice (1.2.8-3) unstable; urgency=low
  * Patched Makefile.in to ensure that slice.1 is placed in
    /usr/man/man1 rather than /usr/man.

slice - Extract out pre-defined slices of an ASCII file
slice 1.2.8-3 -> 1.2.9-1 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/text
slice (1.2.9-1) unstable; urgency=low

spell - GNU Spell, a clone of Unix `spell'
spell 1.0-3 -> 1.0-4 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/text
spell (1.0-4) unstable; urgency=low

sysvinit   - System-V like init.
sysvinit 2.72-3 -> 2.73-1 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/base
sysvinit (2.73-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * Use siginterrupt, now that system calls are restarted by default.
    Main symptom was that the sulogin timeout didn't work but there
    might have been more hidden problems.
  * Kill process immidiately if turned off in inittab
  * Fixed sulogin check on tty arg.
  * Use strerror() instead of sys_errlist
  * Chop up the reboot and halt scripts into seperate scripts. I had to
    take some liberties so they are called with the argument "stop" even
    though the scripts are Sxx scripts .. (start scripts in runlevel 0&6
    seem non-intuitive anyway)
  * wall now supports a '-n' option to suppress [most of] the banner.
    Debian doesn't use sysvinit's wall, but apparently Redhat does.
  * Add '-F' (forcefsck) option to shutdown
  * Depends on kbd_0.95-2 (or higher) package for /etc/rcS.d stuff.
  * Close and reopen /dev/initctl on SIGUSR1 (mainly for a /dev in ram)
  * Add FSCKFIX option to /etc/default/rcS
  * Wrote rcS.5 manpage describing /etc/default/rcS
  * Fixes bugs:
    #13435: Could shutdown provide a way to force fsck?
    #14108: sysvinit: sulogin's timeout does not work anymore
    #14179: sysvinit: /etc/init.d/(halt|reboot) need to call mdstop
    #14357: sysvinit: typo errors into script shells
    #15010: shutdown is too fast
    #15405: sysvinit: changelog uncompressed
    #15751: "sulogin -t <timeout>" does not time out
    #15758: Outdated reference in README

    had been changed from "-x" to "-v".
  * Added "slices" attribute to <page> in the /usr/doc/wml/examples/demo.wml
    to force the creation of the WML_PAGE_XXX slices, otherwise the example
    won't build in WML 1.4.9. You might need to make similar changes to
