dhcp 1.0.1-1.1 -> 1.0.2-0.1 into dists/slink/main/binary-i386/net
dhcp (1.0.2-0.1) frozen unstable; urgency=medium
  * Non-maintainer upload that fixes "important" bug #24443 (it should also
    fix all remaining open bugs, as described below).
  * New upstream release (this new release is what solves bug #24443).
  * The new upstream release also includes the fix for bug #23087 and
    #23094, that was included in the previous NMU I did (1.0.1-1.1).
  * Removed from /etc/init.d/dhcp sourcing of /etc/init.d/functions because
    this file is obsolete and is not present in newer Debian releases
    (>= 2.0). This fixes #22983 (init script sources non-existent script).
  * Changed _PATH_DHCPD_DB in dhcpd.h to /var/dhcp/dhcpd.leases (it was
    /var/lib/dhcpd/dhcpd.leases, which we are not using anymore). So,
    now the leases database will be in /var/dhcp/dhcpd.leases. No more
    files in /var/dhcpd/ nor /var/lib/dhcpd/.
  * Changed VARDB (in the linux-2.0 section of Makefile.dist) to be
    /var/dhcp/ instead of /var/dhcpd/ (this was done to support the
    change of the leases database to /var/dhcp/). The consequence of this
    is that /var/dhcpd/ is not provided in the .deb anymore (which is
    fine because this directory is not used).
  * Defined PATH_DHCPD_DB as a constant equal to "/var/dhcp/dhcpd.leases"
    in the postinst. Used this constant in all references to the leases
    database througout the postinst.
  * s%ETCDIR%/etc/%g, s%DBDIR%/var/dhcp/%g and s%RUNDIR%/var/run/%g in
    dhcpd.8 and dhcpd.leases.5, so the man pages show the correct directory.
  * The above four changes fix bug #21961 (Invalid DBDIR and problem in
    postinst) reported by myself. Also, they should fix bug #23193 (Upgrade
    from dhcpd broken) as well.
  * Made the default _not_ to run dhcpd. This was done by setting run_dhcpd
    to 0 in the default /etc/init.d/dhcp.
  * Change comments that are printed out in the last part of the postinst
    to explain that editing of /etc/dhcpd.conf and /etc/init.d/dhcp is
    necessary in order to be able to run dhcpd.
  * Fixed a small typo in /etc/init.d/dhcp (diasble -> disable).

lsof2.0.33 - List open files.
lsof2.0.33 4.28-2 into dists/hamm/main/binary-i386/utils

  * fixed info installation bug.
  * fixed "corrupt installation bug" Bug#24494.
  * use the init.d and purge files for debstd.
  * remove /etc/rplay/rplay.hosts from the distribution.

stow - Organiser for /usr/local/ hierarchy
stow 1.3.2-9 -> 1.3.2-10 into dists/hamm/main/binary-all/admin
stow 1.3.2-9 -> 1.3.2-10 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/admin
stow (1.3.2-10) frozen unstable; urgency=medium, closes=24093
  * Three-line patch to prevent stow -D / stow -R from removing
    initially-empty directories from the target tree. We make stow
    consider an empty directory not to be "pure", so it doesn't try
    coalescing. This should be safe to install into hamm, since it does
    nothing but turn off an optimisation under certain circumstances.
    (Fixes Bug#24093: stow -D deletes unrelated empty directories.)

syslinux - Bootloader for Linux/i386 using MS-DOS floppies
syslinux 1.40-2 -> 1.40-2.1 into dists/hamm/main/binary-i386/base

    other way round.
  * Documentation generation works now, and documentation is included.
  * Converted debian/rules from debhelper to Manoj rules style.
  * Dropped "cooked" directory, as it is not provided upstream anymore and
    doesn't make much sense, IMHO. If you really need such information, I'm
    happy to provide you with the version numbers of the Debian packages I
    use to build JadeTeX.
  * Added pdfjadetex.
  * The introduction of pdfjadetex means that jadetex-texconfig is back.
    I used the new version 0.9 however, and only added pdfjadetex support.
    Christoph and Thomas are contacted.
  * JadeTeX and pdfJadeTeX now point to TeX and pdfTeX directly, and not to
    virTeX or something like this.
  * Added real man pages. They are derived from the teTeX distribution, please
    sent me improvements, corrections, etc.

  * Added more documentation about kernel-package, as there were
    complaints that it was not advertized at all.
  * Modified the README.headers file to reflect reality.
  * Added a subarch option to make-kpkg for the alpha people.

  * Make kernel-source packages suggest bin86, and mention in the

  * Added documentation to make-kpkg, and its man page, to point to

  * New upstream source.
  * The patch for DDD, described in the previous changelog, has been
    applied upstream.
  * (clients/Motif-1.2/mwm/mwmparse.y)
    The patch to look for system.mwmrc in /etc/X11/mwm (rather than
    somewhere in /usr/lib) was lost along the way. I reinstated it
    in a form that might be acceptable upstream, and submitted a patch.
  * Configure with --enable-back-compat for now.
    Lesstif broke binary compatibility without changing the soname,
    I don't know how to deal with that.
  * (ltconfig) Do the test if -fPIC works with "int main() { return(0);}"
    rather than "main() { return(0);}", because ltconfig interprets the
    "return type defaults to int" warning as an indication that it
    didn't work.

libapache-mod-dtcl - Missing

  * New upstream release.
  * Remove the module from httpd.conf in prerm, not postrm.

libdatecalc-perl - Perl library for accessing dates
libdatecalc-perl 3.2-1 -> 3.2-2 into dists/slink/main/binary-i386/interpreters
libdatecalc-perl (3.2-2) unstable; urgency=low, closes=24453
  * Removed perllocal.pod as it would override a system file and should
    not be there.  (closes: Bug#24453)

libtricks - Tricks with shared libs: transparent VPATH and Fake root priv.
libtricks 0.1-1 -> 0.1-2 into dists/slink/main/binary-i386/text
libtricks (0.1-2) unstable; urgency=low
  * fakeroot script now sets VPATH so that 'su' will work automatically
  * fakeroot script checks for errors from faked, and unsets FAKEROOTKEY
    before it starts faked.
  * Fixed load of lintian bugs.

libtricks - Tricks with shared libs: transparent VPATH and Fake root priv.
libtricks 0.1-2 -> 0.1-3 into dists/slink/main/binary-i386/text
libtricks (0.1-3) unstable; urgency=low
  * Added a few patches to make libtricks compile (but not link... -- hey,
    libtool, are you letting me down?) on SunOs 5.6.
  * Added 'needexec&' to VPATH in /usr/bin/fakeroot. Should make
    it faster.
  * The 'needstat, needchfl, needunl' functions get parsed correctly, and
  * The 'needread, needwrite' functions now work (at least for me).

libtricks - Tricks with shared libs: transparent VPATH and Fake root priv.
libtricks 0.1-3 -> 0.1-4 into dists/slink/main/binary-i386/text
libtricks (0.1-4) unstable; urgency=low
  * Fixed bug where second vpath element was treated as first if the
    first didn't have an '='.
  * the chop now has an implicit "^" anchor.
  * moved usr/bin/libtricks/su to usr/lib/libtricks/su.
  * DON'T set the nlinks value! (I'm sure I've also seen this bug in
    fakeroot...). This was what caused the debhelper problems.
  * Fixed several bugs that related to the `GNU-make compat' mode.
    However, it still isn't working right (see top of README).

lintian    - Debian package checker
lintian 0.5.1 -> 0.5.2 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/devel
lintian (0.5.2) unstable; urgency=low
  * (reporting/html_reports)
    Lintian web pages now use dists/unstable/main in the path for
    "Getting Lintian", rather than hamm/hamm, where it doesn't exist anymore.
    (Pointed out by Ruud de Rooij)
  * (checks/scripts)
    Add /usr/sbin/install-fvwmgenmenu as a known interpreter.
    This fixes bug#23783, reported by Joost Kooij.
  * (checks/binaries, checks/changelog-file, checks/manpages)
    [speedup] Don't skip blank lines in file-info file, since there
    shouldn't be any.
  * (checks/manpages.desc)
    - Added note to manpage-in-wrong-directory info that only
      sections 1 through 9 should be used. Refer to policy 5.1.
    I had a rewrite of the manpages check in the works, but I deferred
    it to a later lintian version.
  * (info/overrides)
    New override from Joel Klecker: binutils: no-shlibs-control-file.
    Added overrides supplied by Joey Hess, in bugreport #24425.
  * (checks/changelog-file)
    Corrected regexp used for changelog-file-not-compressed;
    This really fixes bug#23683, reported by Joey Hess.
  * (checks/files)
    New warning: package-installs-perllocal-pod, inspired by
    Manoj Srivasta's recent bugreports about such files.
  * (checks/fields.desc)
    No longer experimental:
      E: alternates-not-allowed
      E: versioned-provides

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * The debugging version in ncurses3.4-dbg was not actually compiled with -g.
    This makes it rather unuseful. It's due to an error in the configure.in,
    which refers to variables ac_cv_prog_gcc_g and ac_cv_prog_gxx_g to check
    if "-O2 -g" is supported. This should be ac_cv_prog_cc_g and
    ac_cv_prog_cxx_g instead.  Fixed.
  * debian/xterm.ti had a "blink@" entry for the xterm terminal, which
    cancels the blink capability ("mb"). Since it has no "use" line,
    the use resolver is never called for it, which leaves the "CANCEL"
    value in the compiled info for xterm.
    tgetstr() does not check for cancelled values, so it returns the
    CANCELLED_STRING value which is not a valid pointer.
    Fixed by having tgetstr() return NULL for cancelled values.
    This fixes the bug that causes screen to crash in an xterm (bug#23998).

  * Use /etc/plan/holiday instead of /usr/lib/plan/holiday.  Detect
    and move an existing one on package config, but only if not a
    symlink.

vm - A mail user agent for Emacs
vm 6.51-1 -> 6.56-1 into dists/slink/main/binary-all/mail
vm (6.56-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * New upstream version. Excerpted changes:
    * vm-get-spooled-mail: set the non-file maildrop flag on each pass
      though the loop.
    * vm-get-spool-mail: restore expand-file-name call on the
      maildrop so that tildes get expanded.
    * store/use the same password for IMAP mailboxes on the same host.
    * removed greeting block on Cyrus server.
    * Shapiro typo fixes.
    * vm-mail-mode-insert-message-id-maybe: check mail-host-address
      with stringp instead of boundp before using its value.
    * vm-rfc1153-or-rfc934-burst-message: do digest separator unstuffing
      on a per message basis and before message separator munging, so
      that message separators exposed by the unstuffing get munged.
    * registered vm-imap-protocol-error as a known error/exception.  Use it.
    * vm-check-for-spooled-mail: check spool filename against the IMAP
      template before chaecking against the POP template, since the
      POP template will match both.
    * vm-imap-check-mail: bail early if message count in mailbox is zero.
    * first crack at IMAP support.
    * New commands:
      + vm-expunge-imap-messages
    * New varisbles:
      + vm-recognize-imap-maildrops
      + vm-imap-auto-expunge-alist
      + vm-imap-bytes-per-session
      + vm-imap-expunge-after-retrieving
      + vm-imap-max-message-size
      + vm-imap-messages-per-session
    * use vm-check-for-killed-folder before calling
      vm-select-folder-buffer in a few functions that don't necessarily
      need to select the folder buffer in order to run.
    * vm-goto-message bound to M-g.
    * vm-find-leading-message-separator: for From_ type folders
      require that end of the leading separator line match
      " [1-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]". Revisit in eight thousand years.
    * rename vm-sprintf to vm-summary-sprintf. Use alists to store
      compiled formats instead of using symbol property lists.
    * vm-mime-xemacs-encode-composition: discard all but Content-ID
      header in already MIME'd objects to avoid header duplication.
      Same for vm-mime-fsfemacs-encode-composition.
    * vm-mime-display-internal-text/html: If error signaled, catch
      it, store the error message and return nil.
    * more descriptive buffer name for header buffer used when asking
      about POP retrievals.
    * vm-mail-mode-insert-message-id-maybe: try harder to find a
      hostname that has dots in it for the Message-ID header.
    * made vm-pop-retrieved-messages a buffer-local variable, as the
      table isn't meant to be shared among folders.
    * vm-expunge-pop-messages: use password-less maildrop specs when
      doing comparisons in skip code. Changed catch tag from 'skip
      to 'replay to more accurately reflect what's happening.
    * vm-pop-end-session: delete the trace buffer.
    * vm-pop-make-session: generate a new buffer for each session
      instead of reusing the same one.
    * vm-expunge-pop-messages: set buffer-read-only to nil in
      trouble-alert buffer before trying to modify erase it.
