These alpha packages were installed into the Debian hierarchy in the
last week:

----- MEDIUM Urgency Packages -----------

perl - Larry Wall's Practical Extracting and Report Language.
perl-base - The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbish Lister
perl-debug - Allow debugging perl scripts (and perl).
perl-suid - Runs setuid perl scripts.
perl-base 5.004.04-2 into hamm/hamm/binary-alpha/base

perl 5.004.02-1 -> 5.004.04-2 into hamm/hamm/binary-alpha/interpreters
perl (5.004.04-2) unstable; urgency=medium
  * Wonderful idea from Scott Ellis <storm@stormcrow.ml.org>, set archlib
    to be the major version so that maintenance versions don't break all
    the arch-dependent perl-debian packages.
  * Strip a2p, fixing Bug #14891.
  * Files copied by make.base should keep hard-links.

----- Low Urgency Packages --------------

addressbook - A addressbook with both X11 and tty access
addressbook 0.6.1-2 -> 0.7-1 into hamm/hamm/binary-all/editors
addressbook (0.7-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * New upstream release
     - /usr/bin/{email,fax,letter,tel} had been renamed to
       /usr/bin/addr-{email,fax,letter,tel}.  Therefore, /usr/bin/fax
       is no longer renamed to /usr/bin/faxnr (Fixes bug #10294).
  * Rewrote debian/rules and used debhelper (Fixes bug #13571).
  * Added a menu entry (dwww) for /usr/doc/addressbook/index.html.
  * Revised debian/control:
     - Section: misc; Priority: optional
     - Updated Standards-Version to 2.3.0.1.
     - Now depends on the virtual package "wish" instead of "tk41" or "tk42".
  * Non-maintainer release. The package is now orphaned and will be
    maintained by Debian QA Group <debian-qa@lists.debian.org>.

  * Make sure that the copyright file is not compressed. closes:Bug#14382
  * Added documentation about cvs TAG conventions, and the fact that we
    ignore the epoch number in determining cvs tags (this is not a problem
    since cvs does not have to order the debian versions)
  * Preserve file modification information from the pristine sources.
  * *Not included* cvs-inject and cvs-upgrade, as they are not in a
    releasable state.

cweb-latex - LaTeX support for CWEB

debhelper 0.28 -> 0.29 into hamm/hamm/binary-all/utils
debhelper (0.29) unstable; urgency=low
  * dh_lib: don't expand text passed to doit() a second time. This fixes
    #15624, and hopefully doesn't break anything else.
  * A side effect of this (of interest only to the debhelper programmer) is
    that doit() can no longer handle complex commands now. (ie, pipes, `;',
    `&', etc separating multiple commands, or redirection)
  * dh_makeshlibs, dh_md5sums, dh_installdebfiles, dh_du, dh_clean,
    dh_installdirs: don't pass complex commands to doit().

debhelper - helper programs for debian/rules

kernel-package - Debian Linux kernel package build scripts.
kernel-package 3.45 -> 3.46 into hamm/hamm/binary-all/misc
kernel-package (3.46) unstable; urgency=low
  * Because of new option rootcmd (for sudo and fakeroot and such), one
    can't just use -r as a shortcut for -revision (since it is now
    ambiguous). Fixed README to reflect this. closes:Bug#15016
  * Added documentation of rootcmd to the help message (make-kpkg
    -h). This, along with the above, closes:Bug#15078

  * New unofficial upstream release:
    Took the new musixlyr.tex (1.02a, new unofficial patch from Sebastian)
    from the M-Tx 0.30a upstream source and put it into this new Debian
