I've just tested now:

$ btdownloadcurses.bittorrent https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current-live/amd64/bt-hybrid/debian-live-10.3.0-amd64-xfce.iso.torrent
<download happened>
$ sha256sum debian-live-10.3.0-amd64-xfce.iso
898fa914f4615dcb8fb4da9e351fa370d7f142bceaee76fa44e11e440dda44a6  debian-live-10.3.0-amd64-xfce.iso

and that checksum matches the one in

  https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current-live/amd64/bt-hybrid/SHA256SUMS

This sounds like you have a problem locally, to be honest. Did your
torrent client show any errors at all?
