Bug#888109: cdrom: mdadm gets segfault when creating RAID in preseeded instalation

Package: cdrom
Severity: important

Hello,

I found strange behavior in preseeded Debian 9.3 instalator (9.1 is affected too). I need to create own RAID configuration, but when creating fifth RADI volume, mdadm is segfaulted and instalation is aborted.

Bug is not related to specific hardware -- same is on virtual machine in qemu and physical HW. Bug is same with new, empty discs or on discs with partitions from previous try.

When I try to create RAID by hands, it is not problem, even in instalator console:

mdadm --create /dev/md4 --raid-devices 2 --level 1 /dev/vda7 /dev/vdb7

This create RAID with no errors...

(it is visible in appended logs)

Have a nice day, Michal Heppler
