Bug#411728: Bug#411203: Debian etch installer doesn't boot on IBM PPC64 CHRP systems, partitioner problem

Can you give more details as to what is wrong and why?
AFAICT the files /etc/yaboot.conf and /ppc/bootinfo.txt are in the correct 
location and, although the other files are in a different location, the 
references to these files in /etc/yaboot.conf and /ppc/bootinfo.txt are 
correct, so that should not matter.

The only real difference I can find is that we use the option --chrp-boot 
instead of -chrp-boot in the mkisofs call, and I'm not sure if we use 
the -r and -U options.
