Bug#208736: problem installing Debian from LordSutch MiniCD

Package: cdrom
Version: 3.0

I'm new to Linux and have never filed a bug report before. My
apologies if I'm not following the conventions properly.

I downloaded the .iso file for the "Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 LORDSUTCH.COM
MiniCD i386 Binary-1" from http://www.phy.olemiss.edu/debian-cd/ .
This was linked from http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/ .
I burned this .iso image to a CD and attempted to install Debian onto
a spare hard drive on my PC.
The installation was going fine until I reached the section called
"next: Install the Base System" in the "Debian GNU/Linux Installation
Main Menu".
When I proceeded to do this, I got the following message:
"WARNING -
file:/instmnt/pool/main/b/bash/bash_2.05a-11_i386.deb was corrupt"

then, the message:

"ERROR -
Couldn't download bash"

I'm 99% sure the .iso file was downloaded exactly as it was on the
server, that the .iso file was burned accurately to the CDR, and that
the CDR media wasn't defective.

Hope this is helpful.

Regards,
IP.
