Conference on Principles and Practice of Programming in Java



               Call for papers / Call for reviewers 

               2nd International Conference on the
            Principles and Practice of Programming in Java

                 In co-operation with ACM SIGAPP

              Kilkenny City, Ireland  -  June 16-18, 2003


This conference seeks to draw together researchers, teachers and
programmers who study or work with the Java programming language to
discuss the principles and practice of its use in a friendly and
convivial academic environment.

This year's conference is being held in co-operation with ACM SIGAPP,
the Special Interest Group on Applied Computing, whose mission is to
further the development of new applications and the transfer of
computing technology to new problem domains.

                        Call for papers

We invite papers exploring all aspects of Java programming; in
particular we seek research papers covering the principles of
programming in Java, and teaching and experience reports dealing with
the practice of Java programming.

                  Submission date: January 17, 2003

                        Call for reviewers

All papers at PPPJ will be subjected to a double-blind review process
by a minimum of two independent reviewers.  If you would be willing to
act as a reviewer for PPPJ 2003, please send a short (1 page) CV, or
your home page URL, indicating your areas of interest, to the
conference organisers at reviewers@pppj.org.  We will ask reviewers to
examine 2 or 3 papers between 17th January and 1st March 2003.
