Debian Junior

Hi all,

I am wondering if there is going to be a Debian Junior CD?

It would be very nice for those of us that want to promote Linux, and Debian in particular, to be able to buy a CD containing all the ingredients for setting up a computer that will be used strictly for Debian Junior packages.

I have a grandson who is now 3 1/2 years old and is playing with a MacIntosh computer. It is an older model and it is nearly impossible to buy software for it anymore. I also have several 486 boxes that are available for use by Linux. So, a CD with the essential packages needed to run Debian Junior would really be nice. It wouldn't really need anything else either. If it ran a little slow, not a real big deal.

Just a suggestion. I, for one, am in the market for something along those lines. Boot floppies(possibly even a complete floppy installation option) and a CD with strictly the Junior programs would be a great way to use older equipment and get kids involved with/in Linux.

Thanks,

Lonnie
