at some point, the gentoo source archive got corrupted on ftp.uk.debian.org This corruption also propagated to the official CD image source for 2.2r5: auric, saens, raff: 56de4187e4308babbab21627d2693b16 gentoo_0.11.10.orig.tar.gz tar -tzf successfully completes on this one. ftp.uk.debian.org: 0bd102c9e4a2cc4f211987d8f1050cf8 gentoo_0.11.10.orig.tar.gz tar -tzf fails here. The corruption was probably caused by corrupted files on auric a few months ago that have been fixed since. If you could delete the corrupt file and remirror it, that would be great. I'm not sure what should be done about the CD Images... -- Ryan Murray, Debian Developer (rmurray@cyberhqz.com, rmurray@debian.org) The opinions expressed here are my own.
