use of CD image 'RAW' file

1: CD Image
Of all the US sites listed only debian.uchicago.edu carries the cd image file, all the others carry jigdo or jigdo and the jigdo files/templates only.
2: Circular Instructions
The "Downloading Debian CD images via HTTP/FTP" says "Be sure to have a look at the 'detailed information about the installation process'" which links to "http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/installmanual" the 'Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 -- Installation Manual.' When I went to 'Installation Manual for Intel x86,' chapter 4 'Obtaining System Installation Media,' it told me to "(see the Debian CD page for detailed instructions)" a link to  the "Downloading Debian CD images via HTTP/FTP" which told me to... oh! I repeat myself;>

So, Now that I have  650MB woody-i386-1.raw file, on my HD what do I do with it?
