This is most distressing.  There is nothing "official" about a Debian
2.2r5 CD with XFree86 4.1.0 on it.

I am CCing the Debian CD group, the Debian Project Leader, and the
Stable Release Manager so that they can contact this vendor.

I'm sorry, but Kyro-based cards are not supported by XFree86.  The
company that manufacturers this video chipset has not, to my knowledge,
made any programming specification data available to any Free Software
or Open Source developers for use in the XFree86 project.

If the vesa driver doesn't work, you can try vga, but it will be ugly.
You may be out of luck with this card; I'd suggest obtaining one from a
company that better supports Linux, such as Matrox or ATI.

IIRC I also requested your /var/log/XFree86.0.log file, but I don't
think it was attached.
