Re: New HURD CDs!
There have been big changes in the Hurd archive since the F2 images.
It is important that people run /cdrom/upgrade/initial.sh as soon as the
cdrom is mounted. This upgrades the tarball. There is a typo in
Cook-book.
/cdrom/upgrade/second.sh will install a series of important packages. I
am experimenting with apt. dselect still works.
Unfortunately there were problems which delayed the production of this CD
set. The Hurd sub-mirror was frozen on 3 July.
Please remember that these images are an alpha production of a developing
operating system and that suitable precautions should be taken before
using them.
