potato kernels and debian-cd

Here's one I dont know what should be done about:

In the potato/i386 archive there are 7 different versions
of the kernel . There are

Package -------------------------------------- comment

kernel-image-2.0.36_2.0.36-3.deb ????
kernel-image-2.0.38_2.0.38-3.deb ????
kernel-image-2.2.10_2.2.10-1.deb ????
kernel-image-2.2.12_2.2.12-4.deb ????
kernel-image-2.2.13_2.2.13-2.deb ????
kernel-image-2.2.14-ide_2.2.14-4.deb conflicts w/ 2.2.14
kernel-image-2.2.14-idepci_2.2.14-1.deb conflicts w/ 2.2.14
kernel-image-2.2.14_2.2.14-4.deb conflucts w/ 2.2.14-ide

When one runs debian-cd to create potato .iso's,
debian-cd decides:

   # Removing packages from the system :
   kernel-image-2.2.14

There by removing ALL 2.2.14 images from the resulting .iso

So.... This begs two questions

1. Do we really need all these kernel-packages in potato?
    (2.0.36/38 ???)

2. Is debian-cd confused by multiple 2.2.14 kernel packages,
or are the packages depends set wrong.

In any case, it seems that any potato i386 .iso 's that
are being made, will ALL be without any 2.2.14 kernels,
except in the boot-image
