New debian-cd ?

Hi people,

I plan to work on a new debian-cd script (written in Perl) that will
allow people to easily build customized CDs (ie to build CD with
standard + gnome stuff or cd with standard + complete perl development stuff,
etc.). It could also build complete CD sets of course.

But I've got a problem. If I take a package, I need to find all the
dependencies (with the possibility to add those listed in
Recommends/Suggests too) in order to always build a CD set without
missing packages.

I know pkgorder but i still wonder how to use it for that particular
task ... maybe someone here already worked on this particular problem ?

I may try to give a look at libapt but that's not in Perl (but I may
write an xs module for that).

Thank you for input. BTW, if you have some particular feature needed,
you can propose them ...

Cheers,

PS: FYI i've built a CD set with the latest CVS stuff (from yesterday)
without contrib on the second CD and this is what I got :
~@p200$ ls -al /rack/debian-cd/
