Ok, deleted old source trees, grabbed fresh copy, debuild...dpkg...
and:
rac2:/home/jwest/yacs# make status
rac2:/home/jwest/yacs# make potato_status
Using the provided status file for potato ...
rac2:/home/jwest/yacs# make mirrorcheck
Apt-get is updating his files ...
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct
the problem.
make: *** [apt-update] Error 100
Same for all other combinations of make...
(i tried all the above on 2 different hosts)
apt-get (and dselect) seem to work fine.
But it WAS a good idea.
just me...the clueless one...
