Yes, I can:
$ cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-boot login
(press enter at password prompt)
$ cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-boot checkout \
debian-cd
$ cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-boot logout
If you then cd to the directory, you should be able to use cvs update and
other cvs commands (I didn't check though).
