The autoup.sh for hamm was only neccessary to do the libc5 -> glibc
transition. Well, the script was broken on the CD. For a hamm -> slink
upgrade no script is needed.

The best way to upgrade (*personal opinion*) is and was to just use
apt. Once its installed via dpkg or dselect and configure the only
thing needed is

> apt-get dist-upgrade

and then it updates the system in a clean way to the distribution
configured. It also worked for bo -> hamm, but one needed an apt for
bo.

I don't know what update mechanism will be provided on slink, since
slink will come as a multi-cd set (main/binary-i386 is to big), but
hopefully, apt will be one of them.

May the Source be with you.
