Some question about making customized CD

Dear Sir,

I have a few question about how to make my own Debian CD.
I am now using Debian 3.0 r0

(1) I have modified some deb package from disk 1 myself and want to replace the old one, then how can I make a bootable and installable CD? (2) If I want to add some third party sofware in to disk 1 too, how can I do this?

Do (1) and (2) have the same approach? Can you give a more details step to do?

(3) Actually I tried to use debian-cd utility, but when I do the procedure "make mirrorcheck", it prompt me --> zcat: /home/ftp/debian/dists/woody/main/binary-i386/Package.gz: No such file or directory
Where can I find the "Package.gz"

Thank you for your help =)
And Looking for your reply
