The returned option value should be non-zero, but I don't think you can assume it's exactly 1.

Is there something weird about how SO_REUSEADDR works on kFreeBSD hosts?

Apparently the returned option value for enabled boolean options is equal to the option name (i.e. SO_REUSEADDR == 4 in this case) on (k)FreeBSD.
