See also announce for unofficial (linux-)amd64 sarge release. https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/06/msg00005.html The benefit might be to have security support for non altered packages, etc.I expect that kfreebsd specific packages will be different, but the rest should be close as much as possible to the official Jessie release.
