I think that problem was the inverse of this. I suspect you had an older freebsd-net-tools installed and it couldn't configure networking on kFreeBSD 10. d-i has the newer freebsd-net-tools-udeb/10.0+ds1-1 but it is no longer working for kFreeBSD 9. It was planned to someday remove kfreebsd-9 from d-i, but we still need to think what happens during upgrades. Maybe freebsd-net-tools needs to set a Breaks: on older kernels? Or there may even be a way to modify freebsd-net-tools so it is compatible with both kernels, if that's vital. Regards, -- Steven Chamberlain steven@pyro.eu.org
