Bug#758084: kfreebsd-image-amd64 lacks support for i210 ethernet

Package: kfreebsd-image-amd64
Version: 9+1
Severity: wishlist

Could support for i210 be added to the kfreebsd i386 / amd64 images?
This is a critical piece of hardware support that makes kfreebsd-amd64
on wheezy unusable on my server. The 'if_igb' kernel module must be
updated to support this newer ethernet hardware.

Upstream added support for this hardware starting in the FreeBSD 9.1
kernel and newer.

It seems unfair that the i386 and amd64 stable branches using the
Linux 3.2 kernel had support for the i210 added to the stock kernel as
part of the stable updates, but the kfreebsd port has no such kernel
update.

It would be appreciated if a newer FreeBSD 9 kernel could be imported to
stable as either a regular update or as part of a backport. Thank you.
