Ah, good point, but after some looks at the source code I still cannot tell for sure. Somehow the autoconf part escapes my greps

Every two to four months there is something popping up with the kfreebsd platforms and BOINC. If there is someone on this list
running this platform and prepared to give a helping hand on http://boinc.berkeley.edu for kfreebsd then this would be much
appreciated. Admittedly, I am not aware of any project supporting it, yet, because of the somewhat smaller user base. But as a
project server it may find the one or other fan.
