Bug#653929: "zpool status" reports bogus string for RAID-Z (breaks GRUB)
Package: zfsutils
Version: 8.3~svn226546-6
Severity: important
e.g.
$ sudo zpool status tank3
pool: tank3
state: ONLINE
scan: none requested
config:
NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
tank3 DEGRADED 0 0 0
-0 DEGRADED 0 0 0
ad4s2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ad6s2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ad4s2 UNAVAIL 0 0 0
errors: No known data errors
prints "-0" instead of the expected "raidz1-0".
This breaks grub-install / update-grub and prevents using RAID-Z as root
file system.
