Bug#669671: critical ZFS errors are not reported to root
Package: zfsutils
Version: 8.1-4+squeeze1
Severity: important
Turns out I've been having a dead disk for about a month and didn't even
notice.
ZFS (via devd) reported several messages like this in /var/log/user.log:
Mar 19 11:40:00 thorin logger: ZFS: checksum mismatch, zpool=tank3 path=/dev/ad5s2 offset=81609640960 size=4608
but nothing else. I think there should be a cronjob parsing user.log and
reporting such errors to root, like mdadm does.
