It seems that this problem only happens when mfsroot is being used.
Otherwise the extra RAM is safely discarded.
Also, it is reproducible on FreeBSD as well, so I've forwarded it to
upstream (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=163410)
