Package: ufsutils
Version: 0.0+2004.06.26-4+kbsd.1
Severity: important

Hi,

On GNU/kFreeBSD, priority should be set to required because it's very unlikely
the system works without it. Maybe it should even be essential, since the only
situations where a working system can be made without ufsutils are:

  - When booting from iso9660 (and in the case of our livecd it's still needed
    for ramdisks)
  - When running GNU/kFreeBSD in a chroot.

-- System Information:
Debian Release: testing/unstable
Architecture: kfreebsd-i386 (i686)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash
Kernel: GNU/kFreeBSD 5.3-1
Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C)

Versions of packages ufsutils depends on:
ii libc0.1 2.3-1+kbsd.11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an
ii libedit2 2.9.cvs.20050518-2 BSD editline and history libraries
ii libncurses5 5.4-9 Shared libraries for terminal hand
ii libufs2 0.0+2004.06.26-4+kbsd.1 UFS filesystem shared library

ufsutils recommends no packages.

GNU/kFreeBSD can now boot from zfs, so I don't think that this bug is
valid anymore. Please reopen it if you disagree.
