Yeah, I ran into that gdm3/gdm-session-worker issue, too, after
removing gdm from my kfreebsd demo box at FOSDEM due to very strange
USB keyboard issues independent of the keyboard.

KDM fixed all the issues so despite they sometimes happened in the
middle of a session, gdm seemed to be the source. (So in
treoprespective, I'm glad we removed it. :-)
