I notice this in daemon/getvt.h: #if defined (__FreeBSD__) || defined (__DragonFly__) #define GDM_USE_CONSIO_VT #endif which is not enabled on kfreebsd. CONSIO_VT sounds a lot like terminal stuff. Could this be related?
