I am the current developer of libburn
which can write CD/DVD/BD on Linux and FreeBSD.
The compile time failure in
is caused by two missing files. A patch release
is emerging. It will build but not be able to
operate optical drives directly.
The reason why you get involved is the question
whether i shall flatly enable our FreeBSD SCSI
adapter for a Debian system on FreeBSD kernel.
As an alternative one could plan for using the
next release of libcdio as adapter. It has been
made ready for SCSI write commands on Linux,
Augmenting its FreeBSD driver would need a tester,
Nevertheless the old libcdio demo program
may already be used to determine whether FreeBSD
CAM is working on arch=kfreebsd-i386 .
If that example works, then the existing FreeBSD
adapter of libburn is supposed to work too.
It inquires the vendor, model and revision of a

In that case i would enable the FreeBSD adapter
for Debian on FreeBSD kernel and ask politely for
