Not really, I get the following in syslog after attempting to use unfsd
with portmap:

Apr 28 12:36:15 localhost portmap[1974]: cannot find any active local
network interfaces
Apr 28 12:36:15 localhost portmap[1978]: connect from 127.0.0.1 to
unset(nfs): request from non-local host
